This week we'll continue with another delicious Halloween recipe! This tasty tarte flambée is perfect for any party. If the guests don't get scared, they will at least think it's cute ;). Have you ever made tarte flambée yourself? And I mean from the dough to the toppings? It's cheaper, healthier and tastes better! I was surprised how easy and quick it is. Obviously you can make this recipe any time of the year and save yourself the work of decorating. But trust me, for Halloween it's worth going that extra mile. You've probably never made such a good and beautiful tarte flambée before. This recipe makes two large ones. You're in the mood for more Halloween recipes? Then check out this scary cake...
1tbsp Olive oil
150g Crème fraîche
1/2 red Onion
1 Garlic clove
1 Piece of Zucchini
200ml Water · 1/2tsp Salt · 1tbsp Olive oil · 350g Flour
First you prepare the dough. Mix water with salt and olive oil. Add the flour little by little and mix with a spoon. Maybe you don't need as much flour, just add as much as you need until the dough doesn't stick anymore. As soon as the dough is a little firmer, knead it with your hands briefly so that it becomes a flexible, but no longer sticky dough.
Flour the work surface well and roll out the tarte dough with a rolling pin or a bottle about 3mm thin. Then place it on a baking tray with baking paper.
1/2 red Onion · 1 Garlic clove · 150g Crème Fraîche · Salt · Pepper
For the sauce, chop the onion and garlic very finely and mix with the crème fraîche. Season generously with salt and pepper and then spread evenly on the dough.
For the skeletons, cut the carrots into very thin strips and place them on the tarte flambée. Make the hips and head with slightly larger pieces. The easiest way is to take a simplified photo of a skeleton and copy it!
1 Piece of Zucchini · Salt · Pepper
To make the little zucchini faces, simply slice the zucchini and carve out the eyes and mouth with a sharp knife. Place them on the tarte flambée and season. Bake at 180°C for about 12-15 minutes and enjoy!
