Makom

Vienna, 7th District

I found Makom via social media and just by seeing the pictures of the wonderful dishes and the nice ambience I had to stop by. I felt right at home there. The walls are super high and the interior with rustic and "elegant" elements are totally to my taste. With the paintings on the walls you always have something to look at. If you can't make it there right away, you can give my Wild Garlic Hummus a try! At Makom you can then taste different hummus varieties. They have plenty of vegetarian dishes, but also some with meat can be found on the menu. A clear recommendation!

What you can expect...

At Makom you will be spoiled with great Israeli delicacies. I particularly like the decorations and the quotes on the walls which sadly don't make sense after translating to English :D.

What I always get...

There were four of us at dinner and we shared, which I highly recommend. We had avocado hummus (4,90€), baba ganoush (4,30€) and grilled halloumi (4,50€) as starters. For mains, we particularly liked the Falafel Hummus Wedding (9,90€), Zucchini á la Jaffa (9,50€) and the Hamshuka (11,90€). The homemade lemonades (4,30€) are also super tasty.

Summary

The quality of the dishes is great and everything we ordered tasted very good. Some portions are not so big, so just order extra side dishes and wonderful pita bread. The ambience is relaxed and friendly. Whether for a meal with friends or a date, everyone is sure to be satisfied here!
