This recipe is super special and in some ways one of my first recipes ever! I created this punch when I was about 7 and wrote it down, spelling mistakes and lots of sugar included! When I found the book with the recipe a few days ago I knew I had to change my plans for the recipe of the week and share this Christmas drink from my mini-me as a Christmas special. I changed some things about the recipe, like the 100g of honey, after all, Christmas is not supposed to start with a sugar shock ;). I also added a few other ingredients but otherwise - all original 2007. The punch is served hot, but is also really tasty when cold. For all those who prefer a less kids friendly version: adding a little wine at the end doesn't hurt... Enjoy!

Ingredients for the punch (about 4 servings):

4 rosehip teabags
1/2tsp vanilla sugar
1 Orange
1 Lemon
2 Tangerines
200ml Apple juice
1 Cinnamon stick
2-3 Pieces star anise
A few cloves

Tee machen

4 rosehip teabags · 1/2tsp vanilla sugar · 1 orange · 1 lemon · 2 tangerines · 200ml apple juice · 1 cinnamon stick · 2-3 star anise · cloves

First, steep the tea in 750ml of boiling water for about 8 minutes. Let the vanilla sugar dissolve. Save a few slices of orange and squeeze the rest into the punch. Then squeeze the lemon and tangerines and add them with the apple juice, cinnamon stick, star anise and cloves.

Simmer on low heat for about 10 minutes. Strain and enjoy!
