Is there anything better than going out for burgers? That's right, making them yourself and eating as many as you want! After my jackfruit taco recipe, I kept experimenting and came up with this great recipe for vegan burger patties made out of jackfruit and beet. Not only do the patties have a great color and look beautiful. Taste-wise, they can definitely keep up with the classic burgers. Add fresh lettuce (I chose baby spinach), your favorite cheese, onions, tomatoes and delicious sauces and the burger feast can begin. Give it a try!
Be careful when forming the patties, they are a little crumbly. Be sure to turn and roast carefully, after they become much more solid. Get creative with your spices, mainly it's just important to use a few different ones and don't forget the acidic component with lemon or vinegar, which I find essential for the taste of the jackfruit.
