How to make:
The perfect Strudel for Brunch
I've loved this recipe for a long time. It's quick, easy and still special and different from the flavors you usually know. You can enjoy this savory strudel (I call it "Rollito") cold or warm. How would you serve this strudel? As an appetizer, snack, side dish or something completely different?
Ingredients for one Strudel:
80g Vegetarian bacon or piece of zucchini
1 Puff pastry (24×40)
100g Goat cream cheese
40g Green olives
Some fresh parsley
80g "Bacon" · 1 Onion
Fry the "bacon" and add the finely chopped onion. Allow everything to brown nicely. Alternatively, cut the zucchini very finely and fry with the onions.
Puff pastry · 100g Goat cream cheese
Roll out the puff pastry on a baking sheet. Then spread on the goat cream cheese.
40g Olives · 50g Walnuts · 65g Cranberries · Parsley
Then slice the olives, chop the walnuts into small pieces and also chop the cranberries and parsley.
Spread the filling evenly on the puff pastry. Then carefully form a roll. To do this, first loosen the edges from the paper on the short side of the dough and slowly roll it up. Do this slowly, as the dough tears easily. It can also be helpful to pull the paper straight up and roll the dough that way.
Preheat the oven to 200°C. Lastly, carefully stick the edges together and cut the surface with a pattern. Bake for about 15 minutes until the savory strudel is nicely browned. Done!
