Today I'm adding to my summer-themed recipes again! In addition to refreshing snacks, there has to be a cooling drink at any garden party. This grapefruit lemonade combines bitter grapefruit with a little sweetness and a subtle thyme note. Add ice and nothing stands in the way of enjoying a beautiful hot day. And for a boozy version: serve with white or rosé wine! For decoration you can use the peel of the grapefruit. Even the color of this drink is fun!
Ingredients for about 1L of Grapefruit Lemonade:
2 Grapefruits 1 Lime 40g Brown sugar Fresh thyme
Optional: Wine
40g Brown sugar · Thyme
First, boil half a liter of water and dissolve the sugar in it. Then add the thyme stems and let them infuse the water. Leave to cool.
2 Grapefruits · 1 Lime
Juice the grapefruit and lime and sieve out the small seeds.
Mix the grapefruit juice with the thyme-sugar water. Store in the refrigerator until serving. Then enjoy with ice cubes (and optionally wine)!
